TV Stars on the Stage

Not all TV stars go on vacation during the summer hiatus. They just decide they've had enough of the LA smog and make the trek to that "other coast" to work in the theater. These tube stars are only in New York for a short time, so be sure to check out their work:

Sandra Oh plays Nina, an architect and new mother dealing with parenthood and an increasingly strained marriage, in Satellites. The play runs until July 2nd.

Where: Public Theater, 425 Lafayette St., New York
Ticket Info: $50/ www.public-theater.org

Fellow Grey's Anatomy actor, Kate Burton, gets a starring role in The Water's Edge as a woman who's estranged husband suddenly reappears 17 years after the death of one of their daughters. (Interestingly enough, Meryl Streep's daughter, Mamie Gummer, plays their living daughter.)

Where: Second Stage Theatre, 307 W. 43rd St., New York

Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), Judy Reyes (Scrubs) and Maura Tierney (ER) are part of the ensemble cast of Some Girl(s), a play about a man traveling the country to visit four ex-girlfriends.

Where: Lucille Lortel Theater, 121 Christopher St., New York
Ticket Info: $65-70/www.mcctheater.org
